Feeling Felt: Somatic Series with Ryan Gallagher

Feeling Felt: A Somatic Series The body wants to “feel felt.” When we learn how to feel the body from the inside—when we learn how to perceive the body’s messages and respond with skill—we give ourselves the opportunity to ease our suffering and cultivate states of connection, safety, belonging, creativity, confidence, and comfort. “Somatics” is the study of the body as it is experienced from the inside. In this three-class series, you’ll explore a variety of somatic practices, including some gentle movements. I’ll teach about the nervous system and you’ll get plenty of opportunities to explore ways of nurturing your own nervous system. There will also be time for sharing and asking questions. This series is great for anyone who wants more tools for to support their well-being. It’s especially geared toward those who struggle with chronic stress, anxiety, fatigue, insomnia, and trauma. Each class is very gentle, casual, and un-pressurized. You’re welcome to actively participate as much or as little as you wish. We’re simply exploring what it’s like to take care of ourselves in new ways.
