Here are a few pro tips that may be helpful on your first few visits to the studio!
How can I prepare before class?
Remember to hydrate before and after practice by drinking plenty of water throughout the day. Eat light and allow ample time between eating and practicing. We recommend no heavy meals within 2-3 hours before practice.
what time do i need to get to class?
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before class begins to complete new student paperwork and to receive a proper welcoming to our community! We'll show you where you can store your things, help you rent or purchase anything you don't currently own, and help you get acclimated to the studio.
What do I need to bring with me?
Athletic clothing is recommended – you will sweat! Please bring a mat, mat towel, and water. If you forget something or you don't own any of these things, your first mat & towel rental are on the house! After that first free rental, we always have them available to rent or purchase.
What can I expect during my first class?
Remember, everyone had a first time, and we're all beginners, really. Flexibility is not a pre-requisite, so show up open and willing. And most importantly, don't be too hard on yourself. Deciding to begin a yoga practice is a choice to change your life. Driving to the studio and choosing to roll out your mat is the hardest part. The rest is breath!
We pass out cool towels with lavender essential oil to enjoy during savasana; please leave them with us before you leave.
